رومن يا لاطيني لکت جو نمونو انتهائي قديم آهي. رومن طرز تحرير موجوده انگريزي لکت يا انگريزي اکرن سان لکيل تحرير کي چيو وڃي ٿو. جيڪا دنيا جي تمام گهڻن ملڪن ۾ لکي ۽ سمجهي وڃي ٿي. سنڌ ۽ هند جي ڪن سنڌي عالمن به سنڌي لکت لاءِ رومن Roman)) رسم الخط اختيار ڪرڻ جي حمايت پئي ڪئي آهي، جن ۾ سراج (1933-2013ع) ۽ حليم بروهي (1935-2010ع) اهميت رکن ٿا. رومن خط جي حامين جو خيال آهي ته نئين ٽيڪنالاجيءَ (Technology) ۾ سنڌي ٻوليءَ کي اڳتي وڌائڻ لاءِ رومن خط ضروري آهي ۽ رومن خط اختيار ڪرڻ سان سنڌي ٻولي بين الاقوامي سطح جي ٻولي ٿي ويندي ۽ ان ذريعي دنيا جي ڪنڊ ڪڙڇ ۾ رهندڙ سنڌين جو پاڻ ۾ ڳانڍاپو ٿيندو. جڏهن ته ڪيترا عالم رومن خط جي خلاف آهن ۽ عربي سنڌي رسم الخط کي ئي اهميت ڏين ٿا، ڇو ته سندن نظر ۾ سنڌي علم، ادب جو وڏو حصو اُن خط ۾ آهي.
